Malaysian compressor distributor has become part of Atlas Copco Group

The compressor business of JetCan Engineering Sdn Bhd (“JetCan”), headquartered in Penang, Malaysia, has become part of Atlas Copco Group.

JetCan, founded in 1996, sells and services compressed air equipment and related accessories. The business is located in the north region of Malaysia and focused on customers in food and beverage, electrical and electronics, medical devices, as well as other general industry.

“The acquisition of the compressor business of JetCan provides an excellent opportunity to extend our sales and services in the important electronic hub located in the northern part of Malaysia”, said Philippe Ernens, Business Area President Compressor Technique.

The purchase price is not disclosed. As a part of the acquisition 24 employees will join the Group.

The acquired business becomes part of the service division within the Compressor Technique Business Area.
